News From The Pond Committee |

Hope all had a good winter and looking forward to another season. The pond committee is starting its season off on a sad note. We lost both of the swans and the three white ducks. Not sure on what happened to them, they were found dead. Also, if you remember at the end of last season the fountain stopped working. Well, we found out over the winter that it needs to be replaced. The fountain is an important factor in the health of the pond and the fish. We hope to have one as soon as possible. If anyone has any knowledge of pond fountains and would be willing to help us with this, we would appreciate your help. The July Monthly Lottery Calendars are being sold again this year. The cost is $20 for a calendar with five (3 digit) lottery numbers and goes by the evening PA Lottery drawing. Cash prizes range from $50 on week nights to $100 on Saturday & Sunday and $150 July 2nd & 3rd. You can get your calendar at the office or a pond committee member. This will be our big fund raiser for the year. We will also have a Poker Run on the weekend of the Annual Meeting and a 50/50 on Halloween. I hope that you will come out and support us. We will again have fishing contest on Memorial & July 4th weekends. Look for all Pond Committee activities and news on bulletin board at the covered bridge. Again we ask that everybody do their job in keeping the pond area clean. Please dispose of garbage in the trash containers provided. |
